Let’s just get right into it.
At our core we believe that with a foundation of self-kindness comes the ability to live boldly. We are all called to be great, but we need support to live up to our full potential. We’re not talking only about the popular self-care methods like massages or visiting the nail salon. We’re referencing the deep and meaningful self-care of our bodies and minds. This can look like moving our body, therapy, sleep, proper nutrition, or a healthy blend of work, play, and rest. We don’t know about you, but we're still on this journey, even in our 40s. What if we had started earlier in our lives? What if we learned as young girls the importance of positive self-talk, or how hard it is to be brave?
We met on the first day of freshman year at Syracuse University. Over the years we became best friends, roommates, and then chosen sisters. We always knew deep down that we wanted to work on a creative endeavor together. A few years ago, we came up with the concept of the Teelette. It’s designed to allow girls the freedom to wear whatever they want, whenever they want. The sleeves allow for more coverage if needed, and the super soft fabric makes our Teelette the most comfortable item in their closet! Maybe your daughter has a dress that she loves, but you don’t love how it fits. No problem, the Teelette has her covered. Now she can run and play without any wardrobe worries! We didn’t have the guts after graduation, but now we’ve found the courage to live boldly and introduce our designs to the world!
It’s worth mentioning that taking risks is hard. Change is hard. Venturing outside of your comfort zone is hard. Fulfilling your dreams takes a lot of work, and self-reflection and personal growth does not happen easily. This is why it is critical to learn how to nurture ourselves. As adults AND more importantly to pass this knowledge onto our daughters. We do not need to travel this journey alone, but rather with a community of other like-minded women who are dedicated to bold moves and self-kindness!
You can expect our posts to explore self-care practices, practical tips, and personal anecdotes that help us all create lives for our daughters that are unapologetically driven by authenticity, purpose, and fearlessness. We want our girls to be brave, kind, nurturing, strong, capable, loving, resilient risk takers. This takes modeling it as moms and as women.
Let’s pass down the legacy of main character energy and empower our girls to be KIND and BOLD!
